Paul J. Carroll is an organist, pianist, and conductor with an active career in the U.S. and abroad. He currently serves as Director of Music Ministry at Corpus Christi Parish in Chatham, NJ and teaches at Mother Seton Regional High School in Clark, NJ. He studied at the Peabody Conservatory of Johns Hopkins University, earning Bachelor of Music and Master of Music degrees in organ.
Paul made his European solo debut in Italy in 2001 with Assisi Performing Arts and has performed over 100 concerts throughout Italy over the last 20 years in sacred music, chamber music, opera, and musical theater. Personal highlights from concerts in Assisi include playing Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue, Mozart’s The Marriage of Figaro, and conducting Verdi’s Otello. Beginning in 2013, Paul created Organ Tour, a program for organists and pianists to study and play organs — historic and modern — throughout the world.
As an educator, Paul created the music program at the Shoshana S. Cardin School in Pikesville, Maryland. While there he developed cross-curricular projects between music and history as well as music and Judaism. Today, Paul teaches at Mother Seton Regional High School in Clark. In addition, he was the pianist at Temple Shalom in Succasunna, NJ from 2016-2023.
