Jody Mullen | Soprano

Jody Mullen is a New Jersey-based soprano who blends a silvery lyricism with commercial crossover appeal. Lauded by Cabaret Scenes for a "beautifully controlled" voice reminiscent of Broadway legends Barbara Cook and Florence Henderson, Jody possesses a warm, slightly wicked personality that makes her a natural fit for the Rodgers and Hammerstein songbook.

As a versatile solo artist, Jody has performed at premier venues including the New Jersey Performing Arts Center, Manhattan’s Gramercy Theater, and the Sieminski Theater, where she also serves on the Board of Advisors. Her acclaimed cabaret work includes Love Letters from Jersey, a tribute to Garden State icons directed by Lennie Watts, and the duet show Love Me As I Am, which has toured from Manhattan’s Don’t Tell Mama to Baltimore and Annapolis.

 

A dedicated church musician since 2008, Jody is currently the soprano soloist at Corpus Christi Roman Catholic Church in Chatham, NJ. Her classical background includes roles with the dell’Arte Opera Ensemble, and she has been a frequent performer with Music for All Seasons since 2014.

 

Jody graduated with high honors from Barnard College, Columbia University, where she was awarded the LeFrak Prize in Music. Recognized by NJ Mom as a "Mom-preneur of the Year," she continues to live and work in her home state of New Jersey with her family.
