Organ Tour Argentina 2018
April 2-12, 2018
Dear Friends and Colleagues,
After an amazing trip to Argentina in February 2017 we are excited to announce Organ Tour Argentina 2018! On the tour, you will meet wonderful people and play a variety of instruments through masterclasses, lectures, and performances and you will have ample opportunity to get to know your new friends as your partake in the local cuisine.
Highlights for 2018 will include the opportunity to see and play the Mutin Cavaille-Coll organ at the Basilica del Santisimo Sacramento in Buenos Aires as well as the Walcker organ at San Jose de Calasanz (Buenos Aires). In addition, we will spend a few days outside of the city in Rauch where we will experience small town Argentina and farm to table cooking. New for 2018 is the chance to relax at the end of the tour at beautiful Iguazu Falls.
Our collaborators for this tour include our local coordinator, Cristina Ayala de Zudaire, as well as Matias Sagreras, Claudio Messina, and Manuel Maturo. We have performed, taught, and participated in concerts and masterclasses all over the world, including the United States, Argentina, Italy, France, Russia, and Germany. The wide range of specialties from our group of collaborators will provide a diverse musical and educational experience. Matias Sagreras is the organist at the Basilica del Santisimo Sacramento in Buenos Aires where he will give a introduction to Cavaillé-Coll in Argentina for the Organ Tour participants. Organist, Claudio Messina, is the director of the youth choir, Jóvenes enCantan Buenos Aires. Manuel Maturo is organist at San Patricio in Mercedes and a tango pianist aficionado. He will present an evening of tango as part of Duó Lumié in Mercedes.
You are welcome to travel with me from New York or meet us in Buenos Aires.
I hope you will consider joining us on this tour!

Pilgrimage
New for 2018! As Musical Collaborations celebrates its five year anniversary, our trip to Argentina includes a unique pilgrimage opportunity.
Anne Buening will lead daily reflections and discussions. Anne holds degrees in theology, social work, and psychology. Her professional and pastoral experience will ensure participants of both stimulating and engaging spiritual reflections.
On this trip, you will have unique opportunities to visit historical basilicas, cathedrals, and churches through the beauty of music. To enhance this experience, daily reflections will be offered to integrate music, composers, and culture in a spiritual and historical context.
This trip will engage both musicians and non-musicians alike through musical performance, educational experiences, and cultural activities.
