  Michele Monte

Miss Michele Monte has had a passion for singing since she was four years old and started out in advanced touring choir and talent shows. She has performed as a lead vocalist in large wedding bands, as a church musician for weddings, and at other private events, in styles ranging from classical, to pop and jazz. Since 1998, Miss Monte has performed in community theater musicals, including Camelot and Fame.

With seven years of experience in school settings, substituting for preschool through 12th grade, Miss Monte decided to pursue a degree in music. Miss Monte’s passion to perform, her ability to communicate with patience and a sense of humor, with a foundational love for music has led her to a desire for teaching music to beginner students of all ages. She wants to share, in a positive way, how students can incorporate music into their daily lives.

A New Jersey native, Miss Monte received her bachelor’s degree in vocal performance from Seton Hall University in 2021. There she studied voice with Gloria Thurmond, with prior vocal training from 1999-2014 with Oleg Chmyr. She continues to hone her skills by pursuing piano studies with Joan Bianculli. With experience in performing and pushing herself to be a better music teacher, Miss Monte hopes to inspire children and adults that learning an instrument can be fun at any age.
